A Birthday Surprise

It was March the 15^th, nearly Flora’s birthday. Flora was very greedy, and she was expecting some glamorous new shoes! Now, Flora’s parents were tired of her greediness and thought to teach her a lesson. They called it a “birthday surprise”, although it was worse than that. When her birthday came, Flora came down the stairs with a wild grin on her face, while opening her presents. That is, until she came to the last one, the only one that she bothered to open carefully. But when she lifted the lid, she screamed at the sight and jumped through the window in fright.

Stop playing football in the house mum shouted. “ We’re  having friends coming  around and if your going to behave like this your in for it, no pocket money for a week do you understand”.” Yes mum”. “Don’t listen to her” the older boy said “let’s keep on playing.”  Mum goes out in the garden to pick some flowers to put on the table. Smash!!  Mum’s best vase is broken the boys clean the vase away very quickly. “Now where is my vase  “says mum when she comes back in. She looks everywhere but when she lifted the lid of the dustbin – “BOYSSSS!! Come here now”
