Seasons

It was the middle of January, so just getting towards midwinter. I was taking a stroll in the woods and I noticed the trees all around me were caked with snow. I looked around and noticed that the snow stretched as far as the eye could see. This made me think about how winter became spring, and spring became summer, and summer became autumn, and how autumn turned into winter all over again. It made me remember it as a cycle. I sat down thoughtfully and wondered about it until it was time to come home and have dinner.

The Disaster

The wind blew across the field calmly, it whistled without any warning it started, children ran screaming from the field as the typhoon hayian hit. All over the world the news had reached every leader and Government sent out immediate supply’s to the country but it was too late the typhoon had destroyed every monument the country. Trying to remember what he had done when a typhoon had it Great Britain Prime Minister David Cameron called the army but the army was in Afghanistan so there was nothing they could do by that time the typhoon had been under control.

Trees

One day I was strolling along when I looked to the right and saw a sycamore tree all desplayed out in autumn colours. The firey auborn and golden yellow flashed in the crimson rays of the sunset. The increadible gray brown seemed to stand out as a bird sang out gayly as if nothing mattered. The wind leaped up for a minuit and the leaves rustled welcomely before a few fell off in a shower of colour.

That moment only lasted a few seconds but the memory will stay with me forever and I shall remember it always.

I remember when

I remember when I was able to sit in the sweet grass and smell the flowers but now I must hide in a hole in the ground and smell the rotting bodies. I remember when I could listen to the birds sing and the foxes cry but now I only hear the whistle of bombs and the cry of men dying. I remember when I could feel the warmth of the sun on my face but now I must hide from the sting of the gas. I remember when I was alive but now I feel dead.

Lionclaw’s Battle

I thumped my tail on the ground. I looked into his eyes daring him to make the first move. I launched at him. I remembered my training. I sprang at him, claws out, stretching. My hind legs uncoiled. I pinned him to the ground and raked his belly. I raised my paw ready to give the death blow.
‘Hssssssssss!’ I spun around. There was Poppyfur. I raced over. Her body was limp and her eyes clouded. She was dead. I slowly walked away. It broke my heart to see her like this. Too many lives have been lost today.

Burrington’s Firework Party

Last Friday night Burrington had a firework party. I remember it being quite cold. We met in the square, there were loads of people there. I bought a flashing necklace which was great. People made a guy to put on the bonfire. There would be a winner and the prize is £25.We then got to bonfire which was massive and also my dad helped make the bonfire. All of a sudden there were fireworks exploding and they looked beautiful. Then we went into the Burrington Inn where we were listening to a band singing. It was a very good night.

The Lunch Register

It was time to go; James and Hannah ran to the cloak room, grabbed their bags and sprinted to the mini bus. Just as the bus was about to go mum came yelling “Remember your having a school pack lunch today”.
“Yes mum” they both chorused back. Quickly the bus driver pulled the hand brake not wanting another disturbance. Eventually they arrived at school; they sat down at their desk waiting quietly for the register to be taken. At last it came to Hannah, “Please Miss may I have a school pack lunch”.
Yes off course Hannah.

Remembering Our Heroes

It was 11 o’clock on the 11th November. We were huddled around the crumbling stone monument, remembering all the soldiers who fought in the wars and the millions of lives that were lost. I could not think of such gory, tragic images without raising my hands to my mouth. I opened my eyes to get rid of such images. I looked all around me, the graveyard was scattered with poppies and reefs. The two minute deathly silence was broken by the eerie sound of the trumpet who played the last post which echoed into the foggy distance.

Winnie, My Hamster

I remember when we were in Cornwall, the summer of 2012 and Maddy and I really wanted to get hamsters. Every morning, Maddy and I would go on my Mum’s iPad and research hamsters. Then, it was a sunny day on 29th August 2012 and Mum and Dad took us to Cadbury Garden Centre to buy our hamsters! We were very excited and grateful. I chose a Syrian hamster that looked so cute and I also picked him because he was on the water bottle and fell off and it made me laugh. I really love Winnie!
