A Birthday Surprise

It was March the 15th, nearly Flora’s birthday. Flora was very greedy, and she was expecting some glamorous new shoes! Now, Flora’s parents were tired of her greediness and thought to teach her a lesson. They called it a “birthday surprise”, although it was worse than that. When her birthday came, Flora came down the stairs with a wild grin on her face, while opening her presents. That is, until she came to the last one, the only one that she bothered to open carefully. But when she lifted the lid, she screamed at the sight and jumped through the window in fright.

On the Rampage

The Destroyer, or at least that’s what I called it. It was from the unknown caves below, and when I say below, I mean below. It was unlike anything the world had ever seen! It came pushing through the earth, and the last time I saw it, I was dashing through the forest, trying to escape its horrible wrath. I ran and ran until I could run no more, and even when I couldn’t, I still ran on. I looked desperately for a hiding place and dived into a cave. And there I remain to this day.

The Disappearance

I was at the House of Commons, protesting that that we shouldn’t give in to roads being our main form of transport. “It’s appalling!” I said. “We should stand tall and proud, with a more efficient way of travelling! I mean, what’s wrong with our precious trains!” David Cameron looked at me, his face pale with guilt. There was a ghostly look about him too, like something was, wrong. There was an awkward silence, until it was broken by George Osborne. “Anyway, what do you think about this, Cameron?” It was then that we realised he was gone! Meetings were held across the country to find an answer…

The Apocalypse

All we could see was water. It had been like this for weeks on end now, and our family was running out of food. It all started about last month, with the flooding and such in the levels, but oh, I can tell you, England is in a crisis my friend! Come, look out the window, our cornfields have drowned, our crops have died, and we can’t go outside or else our house would flood as we would be letting all the water in! And none of us have dared go out through the window.

Please help us!

Disaster has struck

“Oh no, what in the universe could bring an invasion as horrifying as this!” “An army of hideous monsters, an army of hairy mountains, an army of… Gorillas?” “Ok, who sends an army of gorillas?” “Dr. Kagan reports.” “Oh I say! What in earth is going on!?”
“Another wave of gorillas have showed up in yet another pink spaceship!”
“Let’s just hope our armies beat them, eh?”

“Ooh! One of them is riding a rather grand looking bicycle I wish I had one of those…

“Er, Dr. Kagan, I think this is going off topic…”

“Where was I… Right! Everybody run for your lives!!!

27 and 53

27 and 53,
“Go away.” Says he.
Michael creeps, he’s slowly nearing,
Not a sound, without him hearing,
That there is, a man with wings
Who unfairly, suffers many things.

27 and 53,
“What do you want?” Says he.Down in the dark, and dirty hall,There he lies, against the wall. He’s given up, on requesting a call.
He used to once, stand proud and tall.

27 and 53,
“Food of the gods.” Says he.Skellig seems, to never wake,
So much time, It will take.
When on earth, will the silence break?
There’s one small chance, of escape.

Into the Dark

In the garage, where nothing stirs,
Well, except the forgotten man.
Everything is gloomy darkness, nothing really occurs.
He’ll never try to escape, even if he can.

In the garage, where nothing stirs,
Well, except the forgotten man.
All he owns, is a pair of shoes,
If only, he could simply tan.

In the garage, where nothing stirs,
Well, except the forgotten man.
Only a window, lets in the light
That his eyes, desperately fight.

In the garage, where nothing stirs,
Well, except for the forgotten man.
You could find him, if you can,
There he lies, the forgotten man.

Not a normal Friday…

It was a Friday night, Tom’s favourite night.  Normally, you would expect someone to have fish on a Friday, but no.  Tom had a very posh family, and they were going to have a meal at a five-star restaurant in town.  Now, don’t think that Tom had anything against this; he was quite thrilled about the idea.  He had never been to this restaurant before and so he didn’t know what to think of it.  They had a lovely starter and main course!  But when it came to desert, Tom chose a bowl of custard. The custard tasted like …fish!!

Dear Alex

Dear Alex

I am shocked at the outcome of the awful typhoon that hit your precious homeland. I feel devastated at this event as everything seemed fine before, until the storm hit. I understand that you must be feeling terrible and heartbroken as your closest siblings, not to mention your home, have sadly passed away. But don’t you worry survivor! Help is on the way, as many rescue vehicles are heading your way! But don’t worry, not in a bad way, they will feed you and give you shelter until you’re back on your feet.

Wishing you well!

Seasons

It was the middle of January, so just getting towards midwinter. I was taking a stroll in the woods and I noticed the trees all around me were caked with snow. I looked around and noticed that the snow stretched as far as the eye could see. This made me think about how winter became spring, and spring became summer, and summer became autumn, and how autumn turned into winter all over again. It made me remember it as a cycle. I sat down thoughtfully and wondered about it until it was time to come home and have dinner.
